The Journey of Flowers

Went to Victoria Park with Yan the other day.  It was of course packed with people, as expected.  I really am tired of the crowds in the city.  The nice weather eased things up for us: we were wearing dresses and it felt exactly like summer!

Didn’t take many shots… I wonder where the hyacinths were while they were the theme this year… It was so crazy how few hyacinths were in the show!  Yan commented that there are more hyacinths in the park near where she lives than in the show, haha.

Green always attracts my attention, it’s my favourite colour :)

And here we go… some hyacinths!

Of course then I wondered why there were so many…

They are very very beautiful actually and hyacinths are not my flowers…. I am sorry to say.

There were many different types of TULIPS!  They are elegant and beautiful…

…and are always crowded by people (the red is too crazy)!

And here comes the end of the journey…

Sakura in Hong Kong

Was invited by Anna to Cheung Chau for the Sakura.  We have Sakura in Hong Kong!  I can’t remember the history of the only Sakura tree here, but undoubtedly it is always surrounded with people when it blossoms.  It was so incredible, it also shows how much Hong Kong people love following the smoke.

People, people, people.  I wonder how do they get to know about the tree too.  It was easy for me to answer, obviously Anna lives in Cheung Chau and she knows all about the tree.

The truth is, I didn’t think the tree looked like the *real* Japanese Sakura.  I still don’t think it does.  It must have been one of the species.

I’ve got a few nice pictures… and here they come!

They look alike because they are my pictures!

The whole time I thought about how to take nicer pictures.  I noted their pattern of growth, they blossom in bunches and that they have really nice curves.  And the whole time we ate.  We ate, we ate and we ate, we had snacks and drinks, seafood dinner, desserts, then was invited to Häagen-Dasz for dessert again!  Life is just beautiful, what more can I ask for?

My day was a bliss!

P.S. I had accidentally adjusted my camera with EV-3, thus all the pictures looked kind of overexposed.  I suppose they have their own of beauty, yeah?
